Description

Our client, a global leader in high-speed automation solutions for the packaging, print, and converting industries is looking for a Procurement Engineer (English/ Mandarin)to join their team. If you are a Design Engineer and have experience in Automation Equipment procurement, then this is the opportunity for you! This is a full time and permanent opportunity at their manufacturing facility located in Concord, On. Salary: 80K - 110K and full benefits.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Procurement Engineer to lead sourcing and supply chain strategy for our cutting-edge automation systems. You’ll oversee and become the expert when it involves the full procurement life cycle, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and delivery for critical components. You will also collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing to ensure inventory is stocked and making sure that the organization is getting the best bang for their buck!

  • Execute the full procurement process, ensuring alignment with project requirements, cost constraints, quality standards, delivery deadlines while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
  • Secure a reliable supply chain while ensuring competitive access to both existing and emerging technologies in the market.
  • Monitor market and sales trends, adapting procurement strategies to stay ahead of the competition and respond to shifting supply dynamics.
  • Analyze procurement data to drive informed decision-making and identify continuous improvement opportunities within sourcing and procurement processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate workflows and enhance procurement systems for greater efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement in the engineering/automation industry.
  • Should be familiar with the buying process, logistics, pricing structures and lead times.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English  and Mandarin to effectively communicate technical and non-technical requirements.
  • Ability to prioritize and excellent negotiation skills
  • Able to read engineering drawings.
  • Ability to travel to China from time to time
