This role requires that you be fully fluent in French and English, a strategic thinker with deep insight into the Quebec education sector, have the ability to build trust-based partnerships, create operational frameworks, and deliver results in a growth-oriented environment. Full time, permanent role. Salary 110K - 115K,Full benefits after 6 months, RRSP’s after 5 months, 3 weeks vacation, promotes good work/life balance. Heavy travel involved (50%) - mostly day travel in Montreal & Qc City Area, however can also be across Canada and International. Must have a car & valid drivers license.
Responsibilities
Our client, a leader in their industry is expanding into the Quebec student health market in response to sectoral shifts and growing institutional needs. As the Director, Strategic Partnerships - Quebec, you will lead the end-to-end development, execution, and expansion of the organization’s health and wellness ecosystem for ecole secondaire, cegeps, colleges and universities within Quebec.

Key Responsibilities
Product Development & Strategy
- Lead the market research, design, and development of a competitive Quebec health insurance product line tailored to Quebec ecole secondaire, cegeps, colleges and universities.
- Analyze competitor offerings and identify opportunities for product differentiation, prioritizing ethical practices and high-quality coverage
- Develop a multi-year strategic plan for launching and scaling the Quebec health vertical
Partnership Building, Relationship Management & Retention
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with lead cohorts within all ecole secondaire, cegeps, colleges and universities
- Act as a consistent and reliable point of contact, ensuring long-term satisfaction and engagement
- Develop and implement retention strategies that strengthen partner loyalty and support multi-year agreements
- Create proactive partner communication strategies to keep partners informed, engaged, and confident in organization’s services
- Collect and analyze feedback from partners to identify areas for improvement and to refine product offerings accordingly
- Represent the company at conferences, association meetings, and key sector events to sustain visibility and thought leadership within the Quebec student health space
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve partner concerns quickly and effectively, ensuring a high-quality experience throughout the relationship life cycle
Community Engagement and Thought Leadership
- Identify and develop opportunities to engage with community leaders, subject-matter experts, and like-minded service providers, to collaborate on presentations, webinars, discussion papers, and other forms of strategic communications
- Keep abreast of the current events, emerging trends, policy changes, innovations, and external influences that affect the organization
- Funnel insights and appropriate recommendations to colleagues, and the VP, Strategic Partnerships
- Foster ongoing collaboration with organization’s Marketing team to develop, refine, and implement strategies and tactics, for digital engagement, printed communiques, and promotional campaigns
- Facilitate alignment and promote synergies with community initiatives, emerging priorities, and innovative campaigns that enhance organization’s credibility in the Quebec market resulting in reputational gain and revenue growth
- Represent the organization at community facing events, including prominent public speaking roles and sponsorship opportunities
- In collaboration with the Marketing team, publish thought-provoking articles on LinkedIn to provoke interest, build trust and credibility in the industry
Operations & Implementation
- In coordination with internal teams, create operational work flows for implementation of Quebec plans
- Provide strategic input into marketing, digital assets, client support structures, and outreach efforts tailored to the post-secondary environment
- Work with compliance teams to ensure clear and enforceable plan documentation and MOUs
- Ensure full compliance with relevant provincial and federal insurance regulations.
Market Research & Evaluation
- Monitor policy and regulatory changes impacting student health benefits in Quebec
- Conduct ongoing competitor and sector analysis to refine positioning and value proposition
- Track performance metrics and report on KPIs, adoption rates, client satisfaction, and long-term growth opportunities
Cross Departmental Collaboration
- Represent the Quebec student health product line in internal strategy discussions, innovation sessions, and executive updates
- Coordinate with marketing and communications teams to develop collateral, branding, and key messaging for outreach
- Identify risks and opportunities to scale the product nationally with minimal friction
Compliance
- Read, acknowledge, and comply with all policies and procedures of the business
- Attend privacy and security training during on-boarding process as well as annually thereafter
- Any employee who becomes aware of an incident or potential incident that may result in the unauthorized access, use, copying, alteration, or disclosure of personal information that may be in the possession or control of the business, must immediately notify the Privacy Office
Qualifications
Education & Skills
- Fluently bilingual in Quebec French and English
- Possess active LLPQ, in good standing
- 5+ years’ experience in Domestic and International education sales
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Health Administration, or a related field
- MBA or Master’s in Health Administration or Business (an asset)
- Knowledge of health insurance regulations
- Developing sales strategies aligned with student needs and institutional requirements
- Exhibits a disciplined approach to sales pipeline development, management and execution
- Direct B2B solution/consultative selling experience
- Experience in selling complex, high-value services required
- Demonstrated success in identifying and developing new business with prospects
- Knowledge of RFPs and proposal development for educational institutions
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills to engage non-technical audiences
- Data analysis to identify trends in enrolment, usage, and plan optimization
- Familiarity with reporting tools and metrics (e.g., conversion rates, plan uptake)
- Strong grasp of CRM tools (Microsoft Dynamics is a plus) and institutional sales cycles
- Proficiency in MS Office Products, including Outlook, Excel, PPT and industry-specific platforms
