Bilingual Communications Manager
A fortune 300 company, the largest company in their field in both North and South America and one of the largest world wide. With operations in over 40 countries and over $9 Billion in sales. The company produces, sells and distributes their products to a diverse group of industries. They are a performance leader in their industry and have been recognized for outstanding growth and profitability.

 Responsibilities

  • Develop content and maintain bilingual Canadian websites for both external and internal audiences, in coordination with corporate communications and aligned with established design and editorial standards.
  • Manage implementation and continuity of website content across three disparate business segments operating in Canada and coordinate programs with U.S. communications managers.
  • Act as key advisor to business management to help develop communication goals, strategies and best practices for the web. Work with business and staff groups within the company to identify communication needs to provide support.
  • Create and support internal communications programs and materials. Convert difficult-to-understand concepts into clear, succinct language; ensure that communications are clear, concise and easy for employees to understand.
  • Provide crisis communications support as needed to all businesses operating in Canada and liaise with Corporate Communications. Support crisis management training programs.

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree is required; preferred disciplines are Communications, English or Marketing
  • Must be fully fluent in both English and French
  • Minimum of 7 years corporate communications experience required. Experience with industrial companies preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; must be detail oriented; accuracy and thoroughness required in all initiatives. Journalistic background helpful.
  • Experience with web content management software, familiarity with basic HTML and a good eye for page layout.
  • Strategic thinker. Ability to work in a matrix and multi-task.
  • Highly motivated, highly creative, results and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others to meet team goals.
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization, as well as vendors and external business partners.
  • Experience in other areas of communication is a plus (marketing communications, media relations etc.)
