Great position for an experienced bilingual Legal Assistant for a large, well known law firm. Excellent work environment (promotes work-life balance), compensation & benefits.


  • Document production and revision
  • Dicta and copy typing
  • Responsible for arranging and coordinating conference calls
  • Handle telephone calls and messages
  • Schedule appointments, meetings and court dates
  • Organize, prioritize, and expedite workflow
  • Route and answer correspondence
  • Initiate follow-up as required
  • Transcribe dictation and type legal documents
  • Organize and maintain client files
  • Communicate with clients
  • Responsible for administrative duties with respect to accounting, opening and closing files, docketing, and billing
  • Perform clerical, administrative and general office duties
  • Filing during downtime
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Legal Assistant
  • Fluently bilingual in English and French - Excellent oral and written communication skills in both languages - some translation will be required
  • Solid knowledge of corporate commercial procedures and documents
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with clients and lawyers
  • Ability to demonstrate a professional approach in all job responsibilities
  • Confident and sound decision making skills and solid work ethic
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in recognizing scope of authority and protecting confidential information
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to perform clerical duties with deliberate speed and accuracy without immediate and constant supervision
    Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and take initiative
  • Self-motivated, cooperative, and enthusiastic individual
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and available to work overtime whenever necessary
  • Ability to work well under pressure, prioritize work effectively and meet demanding deadlines
