 Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting the marketing and sales organizations and driving contractual excellence in order to achieve the strategic and sales objectives of the organization
  • This includes productivity improvement, customer contract administration, business metrics/analytics and contract calendar maintenance
  • Responsible for effectively managing the contracts departments in respect to Customer contract administration, customer pricing and developing customer and group purchasing contracts
  • Improve responses and efficiency of department to ensure continued success in bid responses by developing efficient policies and processes
  • Ensure accurate pricing by customer on all contracts by segmentation, ensuring information is maintained in the database
  • Reviews pricing discrepancies and works with internal stakeholders on resolving the issues
  • Provides leadership to and directs contract staff in the development of RFP/ RFI responses
  • Prepares and manages contracts departmental budgets
  • Builds overall contracts department strategies to assist sales team and marketing in closing business
  • Interacts with internal leaders/ sales departments to ensure integrity of data
  • Proactively develops and maintains systems to provide up to date trends and best practices to assist management in bid strategies
  • Coordinating administration of customer contracts terms and conditions across multiple areas to maximize contract value
  • Scheduling meetings and assists with the communication process as it relates to preparing for RFPs with appropriate management (sales/marketing)

 Qualifications

  • Post secondary education in a related field
  • Minimum 5 years experience working in a management position preferably in a purchasing or sourcing environment within the medical devices or pharmaceutical industries
  • Bilingual (English/ French)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with demonstrated experience handling sensitive, confidential information
  • Ability to take initiative and act independently using good judgment as well as accept direction
  • Para legal experience in contractual law is an asset
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail required
  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat); SAP experience desirable
