| Responsibilities
- Supports the organizations communications objectives by ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of translations for all internal and external documents to enhance communications
- Translate, revise, and edit all internal and external documents as required
- Develop and maintain an efficient translation process, including long/short-term planning, to ensure quality of work and timely delivery
- Develop and maintain translations supporting materials, including style guide and lexicon, to ensure consistency and quality of language across all documents
- Maintain an up-to-date roster of capable freelance translators; train, supervise, and review their work to ensure quality and consistency of language across all documents
- Write French copy as required
- Act as French language consultant to staff that write in French

Qualifications
- Degree in translation or Certification by translation industry body (e.g. ATIO, OTTIAQ) an asset
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of full-time experience in translation
- Experience within the Media/Arts industry preferred
- Exceptional oral and written French and English communications skills, including translation, editing, and proofreading abilities
- Proficiency in electronic tools to assist with translation, including WordFast, Termium, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with legal translations and/or knowledge of industry terminology are an asset
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent research, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Bilingualism (English and French) is essential
