Bilingual Customer Service Representative
A leading North American manufacturer, with over 9000 employees and 70 manufacturing facilities, are looking to hire a customer service representative for their Ontario office.

 Responsibilities

  • Accept and process customer sales orders in accordance with published product lead times, ensuring accurate and timely deliver of material
  • Assist customers with information relating to products, delivery, pricing and technical information
  • Support sales team by coordinating efforts with assigned outside sales representatives in the management of specific customer accounts
  • Maintain contact with customers, sales representatives, credit department, carriers, manufacturing plants and all other functional departments involved in servicing the needs of the customers
  • Organize shipments of customer orders based on inventory available and other priorities as dictated from time to time by the Sales Supervisor or Area Sales Manager
  • Monitor inventory balances in distribution centers, or other manufacturing locations, in support of regional product supply
  • Prepare sales adjustments in conjunction with Sales Supervisor and the Shipping Department
  • Assist in the distribution of promotional literature and product samples
  • Keep an up-to-date filing system of relevant customer information
  • Support the overall sales function by proactively contacting customers regarding product needs
  • Proactive resolution of all service failures, i.e. damages, shortages or delayed deliveries experienced by customers
  • Document all service related issues in the Service Exception Management System (SEMS) used to track service performance
  • Adhere to department Standards and Best Practice guidelines

Other Duties and Responsibilites:

  • Periodic customer and plant visits with outside sales representatives
  • Handle various special projects from time to time
  • Support other customer service representatives by learning and periodically managing their accounts

 Qualifications

  • College education
  • 3-5 years of related experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, AS/400, JDE or other ERP systems
  • Strong Customer Service focus
  • Work well independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task
