| Responsibilities
- Manager of Human Resources and Training departments
- Will be accountable for task analysis, design, evaluation, gap analysis and facilitation of training courses.
- Conducts analyses with supervisors to identify training objectives and content. Provides gap analysis as required.
- Designs training courses for every level of the organization, across all product lines and business requirements, using sound adult learning principles, and encompassing vision, mission and corporate values.
- Leads the training department, responsible for the learning and development programs.
- Introduces and integrates leading edge Human Resource practices that support management in the achievement of business objectives.
- Acts as a consultant to the management team with regards to employee relations.
- Advises management on strategic issues and organizational needs: bonus structure, restructuring of work processes, down-sizing, training requirements, etc.
- Settles complex disciplinary files/corrective action in accordance with provincial regulations and internal policies. Ensures appropriate follow-up as required.
- Coaches and trains managers regarding Human Resources policies and procedures. Ensures both internal and external legal compliance.
- Heads larger scale Human Resources related projects.
- Develops the annual objectives of the Human Resources team.
- Prepares Human Resources budget and conducts regular follow-ups of expenses.
- Represents Human Resources on various internal committees.
- Oversees Health and Safety committee.
- Liaises with internal Human Resources departments to fulfill client needs (i.e. Payroll, compensation).
- Drafts and formulates a variety of different correspondence within the realm of Employee Relations/Human Resources.
- Negotiates service contracts with various Recruitment Agencies and other Human Resources service providers.
- Ensures recruitment and selection of candidates is conducted in accordance with industry standards and internal needs.

Qualifications
- Degree in Industrial Relations or Human resources.
- 5+ years experience in Recruitment.
- 5-10 years of experience in Employee Relations.
- 5-10 years of experience in developing and conducting Human Resources/personnel Development Training.
- 3+ years of experience within the financial services industry.
- A proven track record of resolving employee relations issues and problem.
- Excellent knowledge of employment law and relevant legislation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literate: Microsoft Office.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Team player with the ability to deal with the pressure of time deadlines and to handle confidential information.
- Familiarity and comfort in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
- Fluent knowledge of French is an asset.
