The Omni-Channel Inventory Control Manager is responsible for inventory item accuracy and shortage control across an Omni-channel environment. This position is responsible for location and divisional item integrity which is critical to the success of an Omni-Channel retail business. This will be accomplished through strong partnership with Merchant teams, Planning teams, Store teams, Distribution Centers, Store Operations, Accounts Payable, Accounting and Vendor Relations. This candidate will possess strong communication skills, strong business acumen and analytical skills, and problem solving all the while executing in a true collaborative approach. This individual must be able to comprehend the entire business landscape while being directly involved in all details and its impact on inventory accuracy across all business channels.

 Responsibilities

  • Manage all inventory adjustments from stores, merchants and planning areas.  This includes research and execution of all adjustments due to, but not limited to, store receipts, DC receipts, double booking errors, RTV’s, transfers, damages, dummy UPC usage and merchandise to expense charges.
  • Analyze all item change requests to ensure validity and accurately complete item adjustments in a timely manner to ensure item integrity.
  • Ensure proper financial booking of all merchandise distribution points (Direct from Vendor, DC’s and store to store). Research and problem solve when needed. Process adjustments needed to correct both store and DC errors affecting unit and/or financial accuracy.
  • Monitor and analyze SKU integrity of specific stores and DC locations, to maintain optimal accuracy of item integrity.  Develop and implement strategies to correct store locations with high error rates.
  • Schedule, monitor and follow up on all stock/unit counts on a monthly basis.  Ensure accuracy and completion of counts. Responsible for all correction or rescheduling of counts as needed. Forecast all errors and discrepancies.
  • Participate in managing and reconciling an annual financial inventory, with direct responsibility to a group of stores, divisions or groups.  This includes the monitoring of daily reports pre and post inventory.  Lead stores through reconciliation of physical inventory, up to final posting to stock ledger and unit on-hand update.
  • Provide training to locations on shortage and item accuracy procedures.
  • Analyze assigned store and DC shortages to identify problem areas and meet with Director to strategize correction. 

 Qualifications

  • College degree and commensurate retail experience.
  • 3 plus years of retail inventory and/or retail shortage control experience.
  • Strong business, financial and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced computer skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Strong collaborator capable of performing in a team player environment.
  • Excellent communication skills - vertically and horizontally.
  • Bilingual with fluency in French.
